What to expect
Every home and situation is different, which is why I tailor each session to you, your goals and the level of support you need.
Here’s what you can expect before, during and after your decluttering and organising session, along with answers to some of the questions I’m often asked.
Before your session
Once you get in touch, we’ll arrange a free 30-45 minute consultation via video call or in person. This is a chance to:
Talk through your goals and the areas where you’d like support
Discuss what’s currently working well and what you’d like to change
Understand the level of support that would work best for you
Ask any questions you might have
There’s no obligation and no pressure — just a conversation to explore how I can help.
During your session
We’ll focus on the areas that matter most to you, working at a pace that feels comfortable and creating practical solutions that work for your home. Depending on your goals, we may:
Work together to declutter a space
Focus on one area or room at a time
Make decisions about what to keep, donate, or let go of
Create organising systems that work for you and the way you live
You'll always be in control of what stays and what goes — I'll simply guide and support you through the process.
After your session
Once we’ve finished, you’ll be left with:
Clear, organised spaces that are easier to manage
Simple, lasting systems designed around your lifestyle and daily routine
A home that works better for you
If your needs change over time, maintenance sessions are available for returning clients who’d like a helping hand to refresh a space or adapt their organising systems.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Absolutely. Many clients get in touch because they feel overwhelmed and don’t know where to begin. We’ll decide together where to start, break the process into manageable steps and focus on creating progress without it feeling overwhelming.
-
For decluttering sessions, yes — you'll need to be present to make decisions about your belongings. However, once the decluttering is complete, I’m very happy to organise independently if that’s what works best for you.
-
This is very common, and there’s no need to worry. We’ll work at your pace, taking things step by step and focusing on one area at a time. I’ll be there to guide and encourage you throughout the process, with no pressure to make decisions before you’re ready.
-
No — there’s no need to buy anything beforehand. Once we’ve decluttered, we’ll look at what storage you already have and see what can be repurposed.
If additional storage would be helpful, I can recommend suitable options and either send you links to purchase directly or order items on your behalf, with the cost covered by you.
-
Every home and situation is different. Some clients achieve their goals in a single session, while others prefer to work through larger projects over several visits.
During our initial consultation, we’ll discuss your goals and the areas you’d like to focus on, so we can create a plan that feels manageable for you.
-
I can take up to five bags of donated items to a local charity shop after your session. Unfortunately, I'm unable to remove general household waste or recycling.
-
No; all decisions about what to keep or let go of are entirely yours. I’ll guide and support you throughout the process, helping you make decisions that feel right for you, without any pressure.
For sentimental items, I can also help you find meaningful ways to preserve memories, such as creating a keepsake or memory box.
-
No - please don’t worry about tidying beforehand. It’s helpful for me to see the space exactly as it is, so we can create organising systems that genuinely work for you and your everyday life.
-
Standard decluttering and organising sessions are £35 per hour, with a minimum booking of 3 hours. I also offer bespoke packages for organising-only sessions, tailored to your needs. Please do get in touch to discuss what would work best for you.
-
Sessions are booked for a minimum of 3 hours. Many clients find that 4–5 hour sessions allow us to make meaningful progress, depending on the size of the space and the amount of decluttering involved.
Larger areas or whole-home projects may require multiple sessions.
